Miley Cyrus, 32, has made it clear that she has no intention of mending her strained relationship with her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, despite being concerned for his well-being.
Sources close to the pop star reveal that she has not had a meaningful relationship with her father for an extended period and is not interested in repairing their bond.

However, Miley did express concern after seeing Billy Ray's recent performance at the Liberty Ball following President Trump’s inauguration. The 63-year-old singer appeared disheveled and struggled through his set, blaming the performance mishap on faulty equipment. Miley’s younger sister, Noah Cyrus, 23, is also reportedly worried about their father’s health, as she cares for him unconditionally and wants what’s best for him.

Billy Ray’s son, Trace Cyrus, 35, has been vocal about his concerns for their father as well. Trace shared an open letter on social media, revealing that he and other family members, except for brother Braison, discussed and agreed on the contents of the post. In the letter, he expressed genuine worry about Billy Ray’s well-being. Despite the concern from some family members, a separate source claimed that Billy Ray is “in a really good place” and has a positive relationship with both Miley and Noah.
Miley notably excluded Billy Ray from her 2024 Grammy acceptance speech, thanking only her mother, Tish Cyrus, her sister, her “love,” and her stylists. In a previous interview, Miley attributed her “narcissism” to her father, calling her mother her “hero.”
Reps for Miley, Noah, and Billy Ray have not yet responded to requests for comment on the situation.
