TikToker Zulqarnain Sikanda was arrested recently, according to the influencer's latest social media post.
He said his arrest took place during a close friend’s wedding, and that he was held by the police for seven to eight hours without any clear explanation.
Sikandar expressed his anger and frustration over the situation.
He accused unnamed individuals of filing a false First Information Reports (FIRs) against him, leading to his unwarranted detention. "Anything is possible in this country, and I am unaware of the individuals who are trying to defame me," Sikandar stated.
He promised to address the situation publicly in the near future.
Earlier, Tiktoker Rajab Butt was sentenced for illegally keeping a lion cub, in violation of laws in Lahore.
Butt admitted to the violation when a video showed him receiving the cub as a wedding gift. He was arrested following a raid by the Punjab Wildlife Department and police last month.
As per the court’s decision, Butt will serve one year of community service under the supervision of a probation officer, during which he will create monthly vlogs on animal rights.
The vlogs must focus on animal protection, and Butt must obtain approval from the probation officer before uploading them.
He is also required to attend hearings if summoned, and failure to comply will result in a report to the court.
