Anthony Platt, widely known as DJ Unk, the Atlanta hip-hop artist behind the 2006 dance anthem “Walk It Out,” has passed away at the age of 42. 

His family confirmed the heartbreaking news through social media posts on January 24, 2025. Details regarding his cause of death have not yet been disclosed.

DJ Unk rose to fame in the mid-2000s with his debut album, Beat’n Down Yo Block!, which featured chart-topping hits like “Walk It Out” and “2 Step.” These songs became defining tracks of Atlanta’s vibrant music scene, cementing his role as a pioneer in the city’s hip-hop culture.
