A TikTok creator, Allie Rae, is under investigation after a video of her unplugging her baby’s NICU monitor went viral.
The incident was reported by fellow TikTok creator Anthony Blackwell, who alerted hospital authorities in Webster, Texas.
Rae, who previously used the now-deleted account 'not.allie.rae,' livestreamed herself in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) where her baby was being treated. In the video, she is seen unplugging her child’s monitor to summon a nurse. When the nurse arrived, Rae asked her to fetch a turkey club sandwich, claiming she was hungry. The nurse suggested that Rae take a break and get food herself, but Rae insisted on the request. Despite appearing irritated, the nurse remained professional.

The situation sparked further outrage when Rae repeated the action of unplugging the monitor, this time asking for drinks. Social media users criticized her for using the nurse as a personal servant, with many pointing out the potential risks to her baby's health.
In a follow-up video, Rae defended herself, claiming that a nurse had told her to unplug the monitor to call for help. However, this explanation did little to alleviate the backlash.
Blackwell initially believed the incident occurred in Canada but later confirmed that the hospital was located in Webster, Texas. He also revealed that Rae, under the name Alexandra Linsey Hill, had been arrested for theft in Galveston County, Texas. Blackwell then contacted both the hospital and Child Protective Services to report the incident, and an investigation is currently underway.
