HasanAbi calls out Asmongold for saying Holocaust "probably" happened, accusing him of being "desperate to be edgy."

Twitch streamer Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker criticized fellow streamer Zack "Asmongold" for stating during a broadcast on January 21, 2025, that the Holocaust "probably happened" with "99% certainty." HasanAbi's remarks came shortly after the controversial comment gained widespread attention on platforms like X and Reddit.

During his January 21 stream, Zack "Asmongold" defended Elon Musk's controversial gesture at Donald Trump's inauguration, which many perceived as a Nazi salute. In the course of the discussion, Asmongold briefly addressed the Holocaust, stating it "probably happened" with "99% certainty," a remark that sparked backlash and accusations of minimizing the historical atrocity.

"I am not one of these holocaust deniers. I think the Holocaust probably happened. I think probably 99% certainty it happened."

Reacting to the clip on his own stream, HasanAbi called out Asmongold for seemingly trying to sound provocative: 

"Are you that desperate to be edgy? Come on Asmon, what the hell is wrong with you, bro? Do I think that Asmongold doesn't think the Holocaust didn't happen? No. I think he knows that the Holocaust happened, 100% knows that the Holocaust happened."

HasanAbi continued his criticism of Asmongold, accusing him of trying to "retain his gamer cred" by suggesting a small margin of doubt about the Holocaust. HasanAbi condemned Asmongold’s comment, calling it "stupid" and expressing frustration over the attempt to create unnecessary debate around a well-documented historical event.

HasanAbi explained that Asmongold's comment about the Holocaust was significant because of his massive influence as one of the largest political content creators on Twitch. With 53,000 concurrent viewers, HasanAbi emphasized that Asmongold holds considerable sway on the platform, making his statements impactful.

Asmongold has yet to publicly respond to HasanAbi's criticism.
