An Indonesian social media influencer’s risky encounter with a snake has gone viral after the reptile bit him in a highly sensitive area during a stunt.
Angara Shozi, known for his daring snake stunts on YouTube and Instagram, often performs with venomous reptiles, even putting his tongue in their mouths.
However, his latest video left viewers stunned as the snake attacked his private area.
The video shows Shozi struggling to free himself from the snake’s grip, visibly distressed and drenched in sweat. Initially standing, he eventually collapses to the ground in an attempt to detach the snake.
While it remains unclear if the incident was part of a planned stunt or an unexpected attack, the footage has drawn widespread attention.
Many viewers criticised the dangerous behaviour, urging influencers to avoid such reckless acts.
With over 350,000 Instagram followers and more than 460,000 YouTube subscribers, Shozi's stunts have long been a topic of controversy.
A commenter speculated the snake could be a mangrove snake, known for its mildly venomous rear fangs, while others echoed similar views.
Experts have noted that mangrove snakes, found from South Asia to Australia, are often identified by their cat-like pupils. Britannica reports they are not typically aggressive but can bite if provoked.
