Chris Brown has filed a $500 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. following the release of its Investigation Discovery docuseries “Chris Brown: A History of Violence,” which labeled him as “a serial rapist and a sexual abuser.”

Court documents obtained by Page Six on Tuesday reveal that the “With You” singer is accusing Warner Bros. and Ample, the producers behind the docuseries, of libel and intentional infliction of emotional distress due to the defamatory accusations made against him.

Brown alleges the producers based the series on a lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe, which he claims was dismissed because it contained false information.

He argues that the producers, including Warner Bros. and Ample, as well as the unidentified woman, created the docuseries with the intention of tarnishing his reputation after he had spent years working to rebuild it.

The 35-year-old singer pleaded guilty in 2009 for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

While acknowledging his past mistakes, the suit asserts that Brown has grown and changed since then, with his personal evolution evident in his career.

Since the release of the docuseries in October 2024, Brown claims that his reputation and career have been harmed.

The “Under the Influencer” artist has promised to donate part of the $500 million he is seeking to victims of sexual abuse, should he win the lawsuit.

The docuseries centers on an accuser who previously filed a $20 million lawsuit against Brown, accusing him of drugging and raping her.

The woman claims that during a yacht party at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mansion in Miami in December 2020, Brown served her an alcoholic drink and later sexually assaulted her in a downstairs bedroom.

“I don’t remember if I saw him pour it, but I just drank it and he just hands me another drink,” the woman recalled in the series. “As I’m standing there, I did start to feel kind tired and my body was feeling a little heavy.”

She went on to describe how Brown allegedly took her to a bedroom and sexually assaulted her, despite her saying “No” and attempting to stop him.

“I couldn’t move and I said ‘No’ and then I felt him… next thing I knew he was inside me,” Doe shared. “I didn’t want it and he’s kissing me from stopping me from talking … I was so disgusted.”

Brown initially denied the allegations when the woman filed her lawsuit in 2022, and the case was later dismissed “without prejudice” due to the accuser’s lack of legal representation, as reported by NBC News.
