Punjab Police Special Operations Cell has extradited a fugitive involved in an attempted murder case from abroad. According to officials, the fugitive Farhan alias Shani was wanted by Sialkot Police in an attempted murder case.
In 2024, the accused Farhan had shot and injured a citizen named Tanveer and after the incident, he fled to Oman.
After this, Punjab Police continued with persistent follow-ups. A spokesperson for Punjab Police said that in the first 20 days of this year, the fourth fugitive has been arrested from abroad and transferred to Pakistan.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar congratulated the RPO Gujranwala and the police team on the arrest of the fugitive and issued orders to the Special Operations Cell to intensify the crackdown for the arrest of other fugitive criminals.
