Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to the National Assembly on Monday was marked by loud protests from opposition members, turning the session into a scene of chaos.
The assembly session, chaired by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, descended into disorder as lawmakers belonging to opposition parties chanted slogans and waved placards in support of their party’s founder.
The members’ protests included loud "Ooo Ooo" chants, drawing sharp reactions from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) benches.
In response, PML-N lawmakers formed a protective barrier around the prime minister and countered with their own slogans, escalating tensions further.
The assembly floor resembled a "fish market," with heated exchanges between members of the rival parties.
Amid the uproar, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq adjourned the session until 2 PM the following day.
