The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle has arrested two individuals and recovered thousands of fake US dollars in Karachi, as part of a crackdown on counterfeit currency.
According to Express News, the FIA's raiding team conducted an operation in the Saddar area, where they apprehended two suspects involved in the illegal trade of counterfeit dollars.
During the raid, the team seized 4,500 fake US dollars.
Officials revealed that one of the suspects, Qadir Raza, was waiting to supply the counterfeit dollars to a party. Following his identification, another suspect, Naeem Ahmed, was arrested at a location near Water Pump.
The arrested suspects have been booked, and further investigations are underway. Efforts are also being made to apprehend the main supplier of the fake currency.
