The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to jail authorities in response to a petition filed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan seeking restoration of newspaper and TV access, permission for telephonic conversations with his sons and medical checkups by his personal doctor.
During a hearing on Monday, PTI chief's counsel Faisal Chaudhry argued that the trial court had not addressed the matter of personal medical care in its January 10, 2025, order, which the petition challenges.
IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq directed a jail representative to appear in person at the next hearing scheduled for January 23.
