Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, departed for Davos, Switzerland, on Monday to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 annual meeting from January 20 to 24.
During the forum, Aurangzeb will engage with political, trade, and business leaders from various countries and international organisations. He will also address multiple sessions and negotiations, providing insights into Pakistan's economic landscape, according to a press release from the finance ministry.
As a panellist, the finance minister will take part in discussions on the growing burden of global debt on developing economies. He will highlight fiscal policy adjustments and strategies for achieving debt sustainability.
Additionally, Aurangzeb will discuss the revolutionary impact of new technologies, especially AI and automation, on trade and investment. He will share his views on how leveraging these technologies can drive profitable trade.
