Artists and art lovers actively participated in workshops and exhibitions held by the Punjab Arts Council (PAC) in Rawalpindi during the ongoing winter season, encouraging organisers to do more to promote art and artists.
According to a statement, PAC organised various workshops during the winter season aimed at training young individuals in different fields of arts and skills.
The workshops featured calligrapher Usman Mirza, painter Khurram Shahbaz Babri, drawing artist Muhammad Younas Roomi, spoken English trainer Abbas Akhtar Awan, cooking instructor Aswa Amin, and graphic designer Muhammad Arsalan Ali.
More than 300 students participated in these workshops.
PAC Director Sajjad Hussain while commenting at one of the events said the council was playing a vital role in the promotion of art and culture through its efforts.
"The institution is not only committed to preserving and promoting fine arts but also organises various cultural and training activities to nurture creative talents within society."
PAC regularly arranges workshops, seminars, exhibitions, theatre performances, and poetry recitals to provide young individuals with opportunities to express their creativity, he said.
"The institution is also taking significant steps to showcase Pakistani culture on national and international platforms."
Assistant Director Muhammad Suleman emphasised that these efforts by the institution not only contribute to the promotion of arts but also strengthen social harmony and cultural diversity.
The council's recently organised workshops and exhibitions have received overwhelming appreciation from the public.
