LAHORE:

Fog continued to affect routine life in several cities of Punjab, while motorways were closed at several places due to low visibility.

A Motorway police spokesperson said Motorway M-2 from Lahore till Kot Momin was closed along with M-3 till Multan.

He said traffic entry had been prohibited on M-4 from Pindi Bhattian to Multan, on M-5 from Multan to Uch Sharif and the Lahore-Sialkot M-11 due to fog. Traffic flow on highways was also affected.

The spokesman urged drivers should use front and rear fog lights so that other vehicles could be seen better. The citizens were also advised to avoid unnecessary travel.

In a travel advisory, the Motorway Police urged road users to obtain the latest information from the National Highways and Motorway Police's social media accounts before travelling on motorways across the country.
