Justin Baldoni alleges Blake Lively mocked his nose, suggested plastic surgery during filming
Justin Baldoni, in a new lawsuit, accused Blake Lively of making jokes about his physical appearance during the filming of It Ends With Us.
In the $400 million lawsuit, Baldoni claimed that Lively "broke character" while filming a scene and began speaking as herself instead of her character, which caused confusion for him.
According to the legal documents, Lively apologized for the smell of her spray tan and body makeup. Baldoni reportedly responded with, “It smells good,” and continued acting, engaging in a slow dance as his character would with his partner, requiring physical contact.
Lively reportedly broke character once again and began joking about Baldoni's nose. Baldoni laughed it off, but Lively allegedly made further jokes, suggesting he should consider plastic surgery.
The lawsuit also contained a note indicating that Lively claimed Baldoni had made inappropriate comments about her appearance. However, the lawsuit clarified that Lively was the one who had made remarks about Baldoni’s physical features, which were the subject of her own sexual harassment lawsuit filed in December 2024.
Baldoni’s lawsuit noted that he had been open about his insecurities regarding his physical appearance, which he discussed on an episode of his podcast Man Enough, where he explored body dysmorphia.
The lawsuit mentions that Lively's comments regarding Baldoni’s nose were reportedly filmed.
On Thursday, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane.
Baldoni, 40, accused Lively of using her close friend Taylor Swift to exert control over the production of It Ends With Us, which was released in August 2024.
Baldoni also rejected the sexual harassment allegations made by Lively in her lawsuit.
In Lively’s lawsuit, she claimed that a meeting was held, involving Reynolds, 48, to address Baldoni’s alleged inappropriate behavior.
