Jasmin Savoy Brown is set to return as Mindy Meeks-Martin in the highly anticipated Scream 7, marking her continued role in the iconic horror franchise.
Brown, who became a fan favorite for her portrayal of the first queer character in the series, will once again join Mason Gooding, who plays her brother, Chad. The film is currently in production in Atlanta.
Directed by Kevin Williamson, Scream 7 brings back several series veterans, including Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. New cast members include Joel McHale, who will portray Sidney's husband, and a fresh lineup of actors such as Isabel May as Sidney’s daughter, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, and Anna Camp.
The movie is slated to hit theaters on February 27, 2026, with Paramount Pictures handling distribution and Spyglass Media producing. Williamson, who shared a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram, expressed his excitement for the project and his gratitude to the late Wes Craven, the original director of the Scream films.
Scream 7 follows the success of its predecessors, including Scream VI, which set a franchise box office record with over $108 million in domestic gross. Fans of Brown can also catch her in the upcoming third season of Yellowjackets on Showtime.
