ISLAMABAD:

An alliance of opposition parties — Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Ain —  has urged the PML-N led government to establish better relationships with all neighboring countries, particularly Afghanistan, while endorsing the Charter of Demands presented by the PTI in its talks with the government.

In a meeting of the alliance held in the federal capital on Thursday, the head of the PTI's negotiation committee, Omar Ayub, took other members of the alliance into confidence in the talks process.

The meeting included discussions on the alliance's future strategy. The participants agreed to intensify contacts with other political parties including Awaam Pakistan Party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sherani, and the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA).

Leaders of allied parties endorsed the PTI negotiation committee's Charter of Demands.

Later, PTI's Zartaj Gul stated that vigorous protests, both inside and outside parliament, would be held to demand the release of political prisoners, including PTI founder Imran Khan.

Discussions also touched upon relations with neighboring countries, including Afghanistan.

PTI's Asad Qaiser emphasized the need for effective diplomacy to improve relations with Afghanistan and create a peaceful environment in the region. He highlighted the necessity of measures to also enhance trade with Afghanistan.

Qaiser welcomed the ceasefire in Gaza, describing it as a positive development. "Despite global support, Israel has failed to achieve its objectives in Palestine," he added.
