Police have registered a case against three suspects and launched raids to apprehend them.

According to the police report, Muhammad Aftab Javed, a resident of Mohalla Sultan Town, Jaranwala, stated that he and the Haji Asghar Group have been at odds over the control of a bus depot. The depot, previously under the Haji Asghar Group's control, is now in Aftab's possession, intensifying the resent-ment between the two parties.

The attack occurred when accused Muhammad Siddiq of Sahiwal and Mustafa of Faisalabad, allegedly acting on instructions from Haji Asghar, confronted Maqsood Ahmed, a depot checker. Maqsood was en route to Chak 119 GB Road to inspect wagon slips when the suspects stopped him and hurled a bottle of acid at him. The acid caused severe burns to Maqsood's chest, waist, and both arms. Rescue teams provided first aid before transferring him to the hospital for fur-ther treatment.

Upon receiving the information, police officers ar-rived at the scene and initiated an investigation. A case has been registered against the three accused, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend them.

Law enforcement officials have assured swift action against the perpetrators.
