Meanwhile, a woman was allegedly abducted from the Burki area by her in-laws. The police registered a case on a complaint lodged by her brother, Rahat.
According to the complainant, Sandela Kanwal, a resident of the Burki area and mother of two children, had disappeared on Tuesday morning.
Her brother alleged that her in-laws were involved in her disappearance. He stated that his brother-in-law, Ali Muqaddas, had informed him of the woman's disappearance at around 10am.
Rahat claimed that his sister had been subjected to frequent domestic abuse by her in-laws since her marriage five years ago.
"Just a few days ago, they accused her of stealing gold from the house," he said, adding that he suspected her in-laws might have harmed her and concealed her whereabouts. The police began an investigation into the incident.
