Kareena Kapoor’s emotional plea: Media’s scrutiny risks family’s safety

In the wake of the shocking attack on Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence, his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, has made a heartfelt appeal for privacy.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering in a Mumbai hospital after being stabbed multiple times by an intruder at his Bandra residence. The incident occurred early Thursday morning, leaving the Bollywood community shaken.

According to Mumbai Police, the suspect entered the building through the staircase and is believed to have had burglary as their motive. The police are currently investigating the incident.

Khan's wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, took to Instagram to request the media and fans to respect their family's boundaries and give them space to heal.

She wrote, "It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded." She continued, "As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage."

Kareena added, "While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time."

Emergency surgery was performed to remove the knife and address the spinal fluid leakage. Khan is currently stable and recovering well.

In a statement, Dr Dange said, "Saif Ali Khan was admitted to the hospital at 2 am with an alleged history of assault by some unknown person. He sustained a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to a lodged knife in the spine. A surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair leaking spinal fluid. Two other deep wounds on his left hand and one other on his neck were repaired by the plastic surgery team. He is completely stable now. He is recovering well and out of danger."

CCTV footage has emerged showing the attacker fleeing the scene. The footage reveals that the intruder entered the Khan's 12th-floor apartment through the emergency fire exit.

The incident has sparked concern for the safety and security of Bollywood celebrities. The police are working to apprehend the suspect and determine the motive behind the attack.
