Elon Musk leaks Asmongold’s DMs after unfollowing streamer over ‘Path of Exile 2’ boosting drama
Elon Musk recently unfollowed popular streamer Asmongold after the two became entangled in a controversy surrounding Musk’s alleged boosting in 'Path of Exile 2'.
Musk, who has been open about his love for gaming, has previously shared his gaming experiences, including his time as a 'Torbjorn' main in 'Overwatch' and claiming to be one of the best 'Diablo 4' players. However, Musk’s recent gaming practices have been questioned, particularly his performance in 'Path of Exile 2', with accusations of account sharing to boost his in-game level.
Asmongold, who had been following Musk on X (formerly Twitter), publicly criticized Musk for the apparent boosting, stating that it was “so obvious” and that Musk “cannot get mad” about the scrutiny. Following Asmongold’s comments, Musk swiftly responded, calling the streamer “not his own man” and accused him of needing permission from his “boss” for actions.
In a follow-up post, Musk shared private DMs between himself and Asmongold, which revealed discussions about Asmongold's YouTube editors. Musk teased that more private messages would be released, fueling the ongoing drama.
However, a community note was added to Musk's post, clarifying that Asmongold openly talks about his Twitch-to-YouTube content editing process, which includes the work of his editors.
The situation remains contentious, with Musk hinting that the conflict is far from over.
