Drake was at the center of attention during the Toronto Raptors’ thrilling 104-101 win over the Golden State Warriors, but it wasn’t just the game that captured headlines.

His interactions with Warriors superstar Steph Curry ignited widespread conversation, adding fuel to the ongoing tension between Drake and LeBron James.

Accompanied by his son Adonis and Toronto rapper Top5, Drake was his usual animated self on the sideline. From vocal exchanges with referees to bear-hugging Raptors player Chris Boucher after the game, Drake ensured the cameras caught his every move. But it was his interaction with Curry during pregame warm-ups that really stood out.

A viral video shows Curry approaching Drake, and the two sharing a brief conversation before gazing into the distance, possibly pointing out someone in the crowd. The nature of their discussion remains unclear, but Drake’s presence with Top5 and his son Adonis added an interesting layer to the moment.

This moment is especially notable when considering the connection between Curry and LeBron James. Curry, who has been outspoken about Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us,’ was seen spending time with Drake and his associates after the game. On Instagram, Curry shared a post showing Top5 flexing a luxury watch alongside Curry’s signed jersey. Later, Curry posted a picture with Warriors player Jonathan Kuminga, which only fueled speculation about their post-game interaction.

The involvement of Top5 is also significant, as he’s embroiled in a well-publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar’s cousin, Hitta J3, after a series of social media exchanges last summer. Top5’s presence during this interaction raises questions about whether Drake is using this moment to smooth over tensions within the OVO camp and possibly pave the way for a return to the West Coast.

However, the situation becomes even more layered when considering Drake’s complicated relationship with LeBron James. Drake’s ‘Fighting Irish’ freestyle, which appears to take aim at LeBron by referencing his high school mascot, has only intensified speculation about their strained connection.

Further complicating matters, a recent episode of the New Rory & MAL Podcast revealed that LeBron played Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Man at the Garden’ at his 40th birthday party, a gesture reportedly upsetting Drake. According to MAL, this might have led Drake to create the ‘Fighting Irish’ freestyle as a way of sending a message to LeBron.

Despite speculation that LeBron may have tried to mend fences with Drake, it appears the rapper is unwilling to reconcile. The leak of his freestyle could be his way of communicating his displeasure, not only with LeBron but with others he feels have betrayed him. As the tensions between Drake, LeBron, and their associates continue to unfold, the situation shows no signs of resolution in the near future.
