The country trio revealed on Tuesday, January 14, that they would be performing at the Commander’s Ball on January 20, with lead singer Gary LeVox sharing the news on Instagram.

LeVox expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity, writing, "I am so humbled and honored and grateful for the opportunity again to play the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States." He added, "I got to play it in 2016 and now Rascal Flatts will be performing at the commanders ball and I am so looking forward to it!" LeVox concluded with, "It will be a night to remember!"

While some fans celebrated the announcement, others expressed disappointment. A number of followers shared sentiments like, "Well, that’s disappointing," reflecting their disapproval.

On the other hand, many supporters acknowledged the significance of the performance, regardless of political views, with one fan commenting, "Regardless of your personal political views, it is an honor to be asked to perform. 🇺🇸"
