The highly anticipated second season of XO, Kitty starring Anna Cathcart, Sang Heon lee and Gia Kim is set to premiere on Netflix on January 16 at 12.00 am PT/3.00 am ET. Season 1 had several critical events that are central to the plot that will unfold in the second season.
The final scene of season 1 depicted Professor Lee discovering Kitty living in the boys' dorm at KISS, and subsequently expelling her. Although Yuri tries to help, Kitty packs her belongings and prepares to leave. At the airport, Kitty crosses paths with Dae and Yuri, her romantic entanglements, and later Min Ho, who reveals a surprising secret. While on the plane, Kitty reads a letter from Principal Lim containing a mysterious reference to "Simon," potentially her mother’s first love.
In terms of relationships, the first season showed Kitty breaking up with Dae after realizing her romantic feelings for Yuri which led her end their long-distance relationship. Despite developing feelings for Yuri, Kitty holds back her confession when Yuri’s ex-girlfriend Juliana returns. Meanwhile, on their flight home, Min Ho confesses his love to Kitty, leaving her stunned but unresponsive.
Some other crucial plot points include the fact that Yuri and Alex are half-siblings and that their parents offer newfound support for Yuri and Juliana's relationship.
Additioanlly, Q and Florian's relationship hit a rocky patch after Florian’s academic dishonesty affected Dae’s scholarship.
In season 2, Kitty returns to KISS for a fresh start, but unresolved feelings for Yuri and Min Ho may complicate her plans.
