Iggy Azalea reveals she hasn't heard from Playboi Carti in over six months

The rapper shares her struggles co-parenting Onyx alone, claiming no contact with ex Playboi Carti.

Iggy Azalea has revealed that she hasn't heard from her estranged ex, Playboi Carti, in over six months. 

The Australian rapper, who shares a four-year-old son, Onyx, with the 28-year-old rapper, made the revelation during a livestream on Twitch with streamer Amouranth.

When asked about Carti’s new music, Azalea responded with a candid remark: “Someone's saying tell Playboi Carti to drop,” she said in a clip that quickly circulated online. “I don't speak to him, my love. We haven't heard from that man in over like 6 months.”

She added, “We don't know where he is. Have no idea, have no association. You have to tell somebody that speaks to wherever he is. We don't know or care.”

This public comment isn't the first time Azalea has discussed the difficulties in her relationship with Carti. Back in July 2024, the “Fancy” rapper opened up during a podcast appearance on Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Dinner's on Me. 

She confirmed that she was not co-parenting with Carti, stating, "I'm very much a single mother, I'm very much the only parent." She went on to add, “No disrespect, but I am not co-parenting, really. That's just the reality of it. It's 24/7."

Azalea and Carti’s relationship began in 2018, and they welcomed Onyx in 2020. However, their relationship reportedly ended following accusations of infidelity. 

Azalea accused Carti of cheating and took to Twitter to express her frustration, claiming that he didn’t spend Christmas with their son. Those tweets have since been deleted.
