The HBL PSL 2025 player draft took place on Monday afternoon at the Huzoori Bagh in Lahore Fort, with several high-profile names being selected to strengthen team rosters for the upcoming season.

New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell was the first pick of the draft, chosen by two-time champions Lahore Qalandars to enhance their batting lineup. Mitchell, a seasoned T20I player with 70 appearances, will make his debut in the HBL PSL later this year.

In the second pick, 2020 PSL champions Karachi Kings acquired the services of Australian batter David Warner. With over 12,700 T20 runs from 392 T20 matches, Warner’s vast experience will be a major asset for the Kings, and he too will debut in the HBL PSL 2025 season.

Peshawar Zalmi utilized the Right to Match option for Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who was selected by Quetta Gladiators. Kohler-Cadmore has been a key player for Zalmi over the last four seasons. Zalmi further added pace to their attack with Bangladesh’s Nahid Rana, while Islamabad secured Aussie bowler Ben Dwarshuis.
