Country music superstar Carrie Underwood is slated to perform at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

The program lists Underwood singing "America the Beautiful" alongside the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club during the swearing-in ceremony for Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.

Fox News Digital confirmed Underwood’s appearance, citing the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee. Underwood’s performance will follow the Vice Presidential Oath of Office and precede the Presidential Oath of Office, which will be administered by the Chief Justice of the United States.

The inauguration will feature various musical acts, beginning with a prelude by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Combined Chorus. The United States Marine Marching Band is set to perform “The President’s Own.” Other performances include classical singer Christopher Macchio and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club’s rendition of “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Macchio will also close the event with the national anthem following President Trump’s inaugural address.

Turning Point USA will host an Inaugural Eve Ball on January 19, with a performance by The Village People, whose hits "Y.M.C.A." and "Macho Man" have been rally favorites.

Although Underwood is among the high-profile performers for this event, she has not publicly commented on her participation. The former "American Idol" winner has previously expressed her desire to remain apolitical. In a 2019 interview with The Guardian, she stated, “I try to stay far out of politics if possible, at least in public, because nobody wins.”

Underwood’s inclusion in the ceremony follows a history of prominent artists performing at presidential inaugurations. For Trump’s 2017 inauguration, "America the Beautiful" was sung by The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, while Jackie Evancho performed the national anthem. Her performance this year adds to the tradition of music shaping the celebratory and solemn atmosphere of the event.
