Rescuers have recovered the bodies of 11 coal miners who died following a methane gas explosion that caused a mine collapse in Balochistan, officials reported on Monday.

According to Abdul Ghani, a mines inspector, search efforts are still ongoing to locate a 12th miner who has been missing since the collapse on Thursday.

In a separate incident, two more miners were killed on Sunday when another coal mine collapsed in the Harnai district of Balochistan. These fatalities highlight the ongoing risks faced by workers in the region's coal mining industry.

In addition to the mining disasters, security forces recently rescued eight of the 16 mine workers who were kidnapped by militants in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Lakki Marwat. An operation is still underway to rescue the remaining miners.
