Kendra Wilkinson has a message for her critics: she’s happy, healthy, and embracing life.
Over the weekend, the former reality TV star responded to body-shaming trolls in an Instagram post, addressing her weight gain and aging with confidence.
“Yes, I’ve gained weight. Yes, I’m aging. Yes, I’m not that girl I was before (Playboy girl),” the 39-year-old captioned a mirror selfie. She added, “For once in a long time I feel good and mentally healthy. Kids are my everything. Feeling pretty balanced. Working out and cooking a lot more. Golf, work. No housekeeper or nanny.”
Wilkinson also asked critics to respect her journey, writing, “Please know that I’m happy, healthy and at peace in life finally. Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be.” She addressed comments about her alcohol consumption, acknowledging plans for moderation and humorously referencing upcoming celebrations.
Her social media followers flooded the comments section with support. Reality star Gretchen Rossi wrote, “You look amazing and as long as you’re happy, screw the haters!” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi added, “Girl do you.”
Currently, Wilkinson is focused on parenting her two children, Hank Jr., 15, and Alijah, 10, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband, former NFL player Hank Baskett. The couple divorced in 2018 but maintain a strong co-parenting relationship.
In a previous interview, Wilkinson revealed her celibacy since her split and shared plans to enjoy life moving forward. “Everyone sees me as a sex icon, so I shamed myself,” she said. Now, the “Kendra on Top” star is prioritizing happiness, health, and family life.
