Former Pakistan cricket team and Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was notably absent from the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 Draft, with no franchise selecting him for the upcoming season.

The PSL 10 Player Draft took place at the historic Shahi Qila, where six franchises assembled their squads by picking players from various categories, including Platinum, Diamond, Gold, and Silver, with additional selections made from the Emerging category.

Despite being a crucial part of the national team and the Quetta Gladiators in past seasons, Ahmed was overlooked by all teams. His former franchise, Quetta Gladiators, also refrained from picking him, marking the end of his long association with the side.

A day earlier, Ahmed had announced the conclusion of his nine-year journey with the Gladiators, thanking the team’s owners and management for their support over the years.

Sources had indicated that the franchise owner intended to offer Sarfaraz an important role within the team. However, after the draft concluded, it became evident that no franchise had selected the experienced wicketkeeper-batsman, leaving him out of HBL PSL 10.
