Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, recently faced backlash after claiming her son is too “rich” to join the incarcerated firefighters battling the destructive Los Angeles fires.

Over 900 inmates have been working around the clock to contain the fires, which have claimed 24 lives and displaced thousands in Southern California.

Blueface, who has been behind bars since January 2024 for violating probation in a California assault case, is currently incarcerated at North Kern State Prison in Delano, California.

During an Instagram Live session over the weekend, Saffold was asked if her son would help fight the fires. She responded, “They don’t make rich n*ggers go fight fires in jail,” laughing as she added, “They might make your son fight the fire though, not mine.”

When a fan suggested that Blueface’s sentence might be reduced for assisting with fire relief, Saffold dismissed the idea, stating, “He don’t need none of his time knocked off. We will not be taking off no time for the cause.”

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service issued red flag warnings as firefighters prepare for another wave of Santa Ana winds expected through Tuesday and Wednesday.
