KMC opens venues for cultural, literary events

Mayor says city needs revival of cultural vibrancy

KARACHI:

Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has announced that educational, literary, and cultural programmes can now be organised at Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC)-owned buildings, parks, and open spaces. These venues will be provided free of charge by KMC, along with complete support to facilitate such initiatives.

The mayor stated that venues such as Baradari (Polo Ground), Frere Hall, Khaliq Dina Hall, Denso Hall, KMC Building City Council Hall, Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim, Kidney Hill Park, Aziz Bhatti Park, and other KMC-administered locations are available for hosting such activities. He further announced that KMC will host weekly discussions focusing on Karachi's development and cultural heritage. These sessions will feature prominent intellectuals, writers, critics, and other distinguished individuals to share their insights on the city's future.
