Manzar Basheer and Asad Mehmood received 1,109 and 1,047 votes respectively.

After the results were announced, groups of lawyers celebrated by hoisting the winning candidates on their shoulders, chanting slogans and distributing sweets. The winners vowed to uphold the law and address the challenges faced by the lawyers' community.

The annual elections of the Rawalpindi District Bar Association were conducted peacefully on Saturday. The polling took place in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and high energy throughout the day. Supporters of various candidates were actively present across the district courts, while female lawyers played a key role as polling agents.

The elections drew significant participation, including female lawyers who had stepped away from regular practice after marriage but came to cast their votes.

The courts observed an unofficial holiday, with judges rescheduling cases early in the morning. By 10am, the Rawalpindi Judicial Complex was empty of litigants.

Polling commenced sharply at 9am and continued uninterrupted until 4 pm. The bar has 4,504 registered lawyers, 722 regular members and 4,683 lifetime members eligible to vote. Security was tight, with smaller entry points to the district courts sealed off.

The main polling station was set up in the Quaid-e-Azam Hall, with multiple polling booths to accommodate the voters.

Lawyers campaigned enthusiastically, with supporters of candidates holding identity cards and soliciting votes near the polling station.

The atmosphere remained lively and charged throughout the day and into the announcement of results. Senior lawyers also participated in the voting process.
