The legal feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is intensifying as new filings emerge in the battle over accusations of sexual harassment and an online smear campaign.
In the latest development, PR Chief Melissa Nathan, who plays a pivotal role in the ongoing saga, has filed subpoenas against several tech companies to dig deeper into communications tied to the case.
Three weeks after Stephanie Jones filed a defamation and breach of contract lawsuit against Baldoni, Nathan, and other parties, the PR executive has targeted major tech firms like WhatsApp, Signal, Hostinger, and AnyFlip. These subpoenas seek to retrieve crucial data, including account information and deleted communications, which could play a significant role in the defense or prosecution of the case.
Hollywood appears to be siding with Lively, as Baldoni faces mounting professional setbacks. He was dropped by his agency WME, and Sony has publicly backed Lively. The legal dispute revolves around claims that Baldoni’s PR team orchestrated a smear campaign against Lively, including contract breaches and client theft.
In her legal filings, Lively’s legal team claims that Nathan and PR associate Jennifer Abel conspired to tarnish her reputation. However, Abel has defended her actions, arguing that the campaign was never executed, as “the internet was doing the work for us.”
