The task force, formed under the direction of Divisional Superintendent Railways Karachi Division, Muhammad Nasir Khalili, has completed a comprehensive survey and inspection of residential quarters in various railway colonies. The aim of this operation was to identify the illegal use of houses and other violations.
A total of 393 quarters were inspected across several railway colonies, including Karachi City Station, Kala Pul, Karachi Cantt Station, Hump Yard, Keamari, Drig Road, Malir Halt, and Malir. Of these, 154 quarters were found to be either illegally rented out or misused. Among these, nine Class-III bungalows were also identified as being in illegal use. As per the orders of the DS Karachi, the allotments for all illegally used quarters have been cancelled.
