Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed her desire to benefit from Turkiye's experience for restructuring the curriculum.

During a meeting with Turkish Education Minister Yusuf Tek?n after inaugurating the Pak-Turk Maarif International School and College in Multan, the chief minister informed him about the ongoing reforms and projects in the education sector of Punjab.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the library and other departments of the school. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, she said, "The presence of the Turkish education minister is a symbol of deep and lasting friendship between the two brotherly nations. His presence is a source of pride for us."

She said Maarif Foundation's efforts to promote education and cultural exchange were a reflection of the shared vision of Pakistan and Turkiye." Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said, "Maarif Foundation has played a valuable role in the educational landscape of the region. I also thank President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from the bottom of my heart. He is a true brother of Pakistan."

She said President Erdogan's unwavering support had strengthened the relations between the two nations. "His vision has played a significant role in promoting development and progress in Punjab and across the country," she said.

The chief minister said, "Turkiye has always stood by Pakistan as a sincere brother in times of need. I pray Pak-Turkiye friendship and partnership continue to flourish for generations to come."

Turkish Education Minister Professor Yusuf Tekin conveyed the chief minister a message of goodwill from President Erdogan.

He said, "Turkiye offers cooperation for the improvement of the education sector in Pakistan."

He said an agreement had been signed to benefit from Turkiye's experiences in curriculum innovation, math and other subjects.

CM Maryam Nawaz and the Turkish minister discussed issues related to enhancing mutual cooperation in the education sector.

A discussion was also held on introducing Turkiye's quality education models in Punjab, besides exploring opportunities for promoting relations between educational institutions of the two countries.
