Trio netted for 'blackmailing' citizen
Rawat Police claimed on Thursday to have arrested three persons for allegedly kidnapping a citizen and blackmailing him to extort money.
According to the police, the arrested suspects identified as Saqib, Qadeer, and Umar were booked in a case on the complaint of a property dealer who alleged that the suspects kidnapped him, subjected him to torture, stole money and blackmailed him by recording his inappropriate video.
Using human intelligence and advanced technology, a police team successfully traced and apprehended the suspects. The Saddar SP said that the arrested individuals would be prosecuted with solid evidence.
