Two killed in jirga ambush

Four women and children also injured in rocket attack

Two people were killed, and three injured during a firing incident at a jirga in the Lakki district.

As per reports, the incident occurred in Gandi Chowk, Sarai Naurang Tehsil, during a jirga held between parties from North Waziristan. The deceased include Sub-Inspector Rizwanullah Wazir from Dosali tehsil and Khitabullah. The injured are identified as Iqbal, Irfanullah, and Muhammad Anwar.

Iqbal Wazir, who sustained injuries, was initially treated at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Naurang and later referred to Bannu for further treatment. Sources indicate that the injured Iqbal Wazir is the brother of the deceased Khitabullah.

Meanwhile, four women and children were seriously injured in a missile attack fired from an unknown direction in North Waziristan.

The missile was fired by militants from an unknown direction at the house of a man named Norey in the village of Moski, Mir Ali Tehsil, North Waziristan. The missile hit the house while the women and children were cooking, resulting in severe injuries to them. Also, explosive material was found in South Waziristan, and successfully neutralizes it at the site by bomb disposal.

Suspicious explosive material was placed near an under-construction building on Kadi Kot Road between Wana and Scouts Camp in South Waziristan Lower. Upon receiving information, the Bomb Disposal Unit quickly arrived at the location.
