Pakistan's Mohammad Asif secured a commanding 5-0 victory in the final of the SAARC Snooker Championship, held at the Moors Snooker Club in Colombo, to claim his third title in the prestigious event, Express News reported.

Asif delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Sri Lanka’s Thaha Arshath without dropping a single frame. The final ended with frame scores of 99-3, 73-46, 85-38, 109-6, and 74-0, with Asif showcasing his exceptional cue control and skill.

Notably, Asif registered three breaks of 50 or more during the best-of-9 final, including a top break of 67 in both the opening and closing frames, sealing his dominant win.

This victory marks his eighth career title, solidifying his reputation as one of the region’s most successful amateur players.

In recognition of his achievement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his heartfelt congratulations to Asif. In a statement, the PM praised Asif for bringing pride to the nation with his remarkable win and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.
