Brandon William Liedtke, a YouTuber from Ohio known as 'ProfoundEffectTarot,' was arrested following a live-streamed confrontation in Cleveland County, North Carolina.

Liedtke, who has nearly 30,000 subscribers for his Tarot card content, allegedly drove eight hours on December 29, 2024, to confront a teenage girl he accused of using "black magic" against him and harassing him online.

In a video streamed on his channel, Liedtke approached a residence, accusing the family of practicing black magic and demanding they stop. A man answering the door denied the accusations, claiming his niece was too young to have harassed Liedtke online.

The man later returned with a firearm for protection and attempted to de-escalate the situation by welcoming Liedtke to North Carolina. Despite this, the YouTuber reportedly struck the man, leading to an off-screen altercation involving other family members.

Authorities stated that Liedtke fled the scene and was later found trespassing in an empty building. According to police, Liedtke attributed his actions to "black magic," allegedly using it as a pretext for attacking the man, whom he believed had a past connection to his current partner.

Liedtke faces charges including simple assault, first-degree trespassing, misdemeanor conspiracy, and resisting a public officer. He was detained at the Cleveland County Detention Center and released on a $15,000 bond.

Police clarified that the accused family had no ties to black magic and the firearm was used solely for self-defense. The incident underscores the risks of escalating personal grievances into real-world confrontations, particularly when amplified by social media.
