Lahore Qalandars have announced the appointment of legendary English fast bowler Darren Gough as their head coach for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Gough, 54, is returning to the role, having previously served as the head coach of Lahore Qalandars during the inaugural edition of the Global Super League (GSL) in 2024. Under his guidance, the team delivered an impressive performance, reaching the final of the tournament.

During his illustrious playing career from 1994 to 2006, Gough was one of England's finest bowlers, renowned for his skills and competitive spirit. He remains England's highest wicket-taker in ODIs and ranks among the top four bowlers for the country across all formats.

Post-retirement, Gough transitioned to media as a cricket pundit before venturing into coaching and cricket administration. In 2020, he served as England's bowling consultant and later took on the role of Managing Director of Cricket at Yorkshire.
