tWitch’s Mom breaks silence over memoir controversy
Connie Boss Alexander, mother of late dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss, has disputed claims in Allison Holker’s upcoming memoir, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light.
Holker, Boss’ widow, has faced criticism after revealing details about her late husband’s alleged struggles with drug issues and childhood sexual abuse.

Holker defended her memoir, explaining her intention was to share her own story and celebrate the life she had with Boss. “I hope that by sharing our full story, I can help someone else who might see themselves or a loved one in Stephen,” she wrote via Instagram. She also noted that proceeds from the book would benefit a foundation she created in his memory.
Boss, best known for his role on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, died by suicide in December 2022 at age 40. He shared three children with Holker: Zaia, 5, Maddox, 8, and Wesley, 16, whom he adopted.
The backlash over the memoir has sparked heated discussions online, with fans and family divided over the portrayal of Boss’ life and legacy.
