Bill Hader is among the fortunate few whose homes survived the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfires that have ravaged southern California. While his $4.2 million contemporary villa remained largely unscathed, many neighboring homes were reduced to rubble.
The It Chapter Two actor, who purchased the property in 2019, evacuated the area as the wildfires engulfed his community. While smoke and flames surrounded his home, even the trees and bushes appeared untouched, contrasting sharply with the apocalyptic scene of abandoned cars and destroyed properties nearby.
Across the street, homes were consumed by the inferno, with entire sections collapsing under the intense flames. Blocks of luxury residences along Pacific Coast Highway were similarly decimated.
Los Angeles Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone reported at least two fatalities and numerous injuries, as high winds fueled the rapid spread of the flames. Over 30,000 residents were forced to flee, leaving behind possessions and vehicles.
The Pacific Palisades fire is one of several active wildfires, including the Eaton fire in Pasadena, which claimed two lives and led to the evacuation of a senior center.
Other Hollywood stars were less fortunate. Adam Brody and Leighton Meester lost their $6.5 million home, while Anna Faris, Anthony Hopkins, and Miles Teller also saw their properties destroyed.
