Imran dissociates himself from social media propagandists

ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan dissociated himself from all the social media accounts involved in propaganda against the Arab countries, his wife Bushra Bibi, and the party's martyrs, his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said on Wednesday.

Talking to reporters after a meeting with the PTI founder in Adiala Jail, Chaudhry said that Imran condemned that propaganda, and made it clear that all those involved in it had no relation whatsoever with the PTI.

"Imran Khan condemned propaganda regarding Arab countries on the social media," Chaudhry said. "Imran Khan expressed his dissociation from those social media accounts propagating against Bushra Bibi and the martyrs."

Chaudhry revealed that the PTI founder had formed a committee led by Qazi Anwar to investigate the issue of the party's missing person and complete its report by Sunday. He said that Imran had directed the party to work on the missing persons issue.

Responding to a question about not allowing the PTI's negotiating to meet with the party founder, Chaudhry said that the move was tantamount to sabotaging the negotiations.
