PESHAWAR:

There was no official welcome for the three Ali sisters who won gold medals in Scottish and US Junior Squash competitions on their arrival at Bacha Khan International Airport on Wednesday.

No government representative was present to give these children a hero's welcome.

Three sisters Sehrish Ali, Mahnoor Ali, and Mehwish Ali, hailing from Peshawar, achieved remarkable success in these international tournaments.

Mahnoor Ali won gold medals in both the US and Scottish Junior Squash Championships, while Mehwish Ali and Sehrish Ali bagged bronze medals in the Scottish Junior event.

This marks a historic moment for Pakistan, as it is the first time that female players have won so many medals in squash. Despite their accomplishments, the sisters were only greeted by family and friends upon their return to Peshawar from abroad.
