A robbery of over Rs8 million from a home in the jurisdiction of Rawalpindi’s City Police Station was solved within hours as the police managed to arrest the daughter and her accomplice after the crime was traced, Express News reported.
SP Rawal Haseeb Raja shared the details during a press conference, explaining that they received an emergency call reporting the theft of more than Rs8 million. Upon receiving the information, the police formed teams and, with the help of CCTV footage, traced the crime within five hours.
He revealed that the victim’s own daughter, Saharish, and her accomplice, Fahad, were the culprits. They were arrested, and the police recovered Rs8 million in cash from them.
The accused, Saharish, told her father that she was alone at home when a woman arrived and sprayed something that made her unconscious before committing the theft.
The victim then called the police’s emergency number 15 to report a robbery. The Chief Police Officer (CPO), Syed Khalid Hamdani, took immediate notice and ordered senior officers to reach the scene.

Upon questioning, the accused Saharish confessed that she and her accomplice had planned the robbery together. The police took swift action, arresting both suspects and recovering the money.
The culprits had planned to flee abroad with the stolen money in a few days, investigation revealed. SP Rawal assured that the accused would be prosecuted with solid evidence and brought to justice.
