Lisa Kudrow discovers Matthew Perry’s note in Friends cookie jar after death: ‘Timing is everything’

Lisa Kudrow found Matthew Perry’s note in Friends cookie jar years later, reflecting on their bond and his legacy.

Lisa Kudrow recently shared a touching story about discovering a note from her late Friends co-star Matthew Perry inside the iconic Friends cookie jar he gifted her nearly two decades ago.

The discovery came months after Perry’s passing in October 2023 at age 54. Kudrow paid tribute to her co-star with an emotional Instagram post, expressing gratitude for his humor, brilliance, and friendship. “Thank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have,” she wrote, recalling their decade on the beloved NBC sitcom, which aired for 236 episodes and remains iconic in television history.

While the Friends cast shared a close bond on-screen, Kudrow revealed they only reunited once between the series finale and the 2021 taping of Friends: The Reunion. Despite their rare meetings, Perry’s gesture and Kudrow’s recent discovery highlight the deep connection they maintained beyond the show.

The note inside the cookie jar is a poignant reminder of the friendships forged during their time on Friends. It celebrates a legacy that continues to resonate with fans and underscores the enduring impact of Perry’s presence both on and off-screen.
