Vin Diesel, 57, is facing criticism online after fans accused him of shading Wicked while presenting the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. The ceremony, held at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, saw Diesel take the stage to announce the nominees and winner in the category.
When opening the envelope, Diesel appeared to sigh and snicker before announcing Wicked as the victor. He reportedly threw his hands up in frustration before reading the result, a reaction that fans quickly picked up on.

Despite the criticism, Diesel wasn’t the only presenter that evening. Other stars who graced the stage included Melissa McCarthy, Awkwafina, and Andrew Garfield.
Wicked, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, has been a significant box office success, making Diesel’s alleged reaction even more surprising to fans.
