Hania Aamir and Yashma Gill were having the time of their lives at Gill’s sister’s wedding, shaking a leg and twirling around in their chic outfits. The duo wore short cholis paired with flared lehngas, their vibrant personalities shining through their dance moves.
Videos from the mehendi quickly began to make the rounds on social media in real time and people could just not get enough of Hania Aamir, Dananeer and Yashma Gill's moves to 'Badi Mushkil' and 'Do Dhaari Talwar'.
However, as always, where there’s fun, there’s criticism. After videos of the trio went viral for their infectious energy, some people began scrutinizing Aamir and Yashma's choice of attire while praising Dananeer for wearing a long kameez, and Hina Khawaja Bayat was among the first to weigh in.
“I was wondering if people have forgotten something called a kameez,” Bayat quipped on a video of the duo shared by blogger Afia Qazi. Former Sindh Assembly member Sharmila Faruqui wasted no time in defending the actresses, encouraging Bayat to “live and let live"
“Stop judging women with their choice in clothing. If that’s the case, then all men should wear sherwanis and not suits,” Faruqui wrote on her Instagram story in response to Bayat’s remarks.
In 2025, it’s high time we let women be unapologetically themselves and wear whatever makes them feel confident and comfortable. After all, no one’s personal style should be up for critique. It’s their world, and we’re all just living in it.
