Burglar kills one, injures four others

Armed men shot dead a man and injured four others during a theft bid in a village near Rohri in the wee hours of Saturday.

According to the police, the incident occurred in village Abdul Samad Panhwar, where an unidentified armed burglar entered the house of Amanullah Panhwar with the intention to commit theft, but the family members offered resistance. As a result, the thief opened indiscriminate fire, killing 35-year-old Ghulam Akbar Panhwar and injuring four inmates. The body was shifted to Taluka Hospital Rohri and later handed over to the heirs. Panic gripped the area soon after the incident. This incident highlights the rising crime rate and deteriorating law and order situation in the region.
